Sage Weeber – Drummer | Touring Musician | Session Artist

Born on March 5, 1998, in Rock Island, IL, Sage picked up drumsticks at just four years old—and never looked back.

Throughout his school years, he played in multiple ensembles and juggled between five to seven bands at a time. At just 12 years old, he embarked on his first tour with his high school Punk/Ska band, Fairhaven, continuing to tour during school breaks until graduating at 18.

In 2016, Sage moved to Los Angeles to attend the Musicians Institute. Soon after, he found himself in legendary recording studios and on major television sets, including Capitol Records, EastWest Studios, MTV, and Disney. Balancing school, three rehearsals a night, and relentless dedication, he quickly realized he was living the dream his younger self had imagined—surviving on three hours of sleep, playing on taped-together drumheads, and pushing through broken cymbals, all with a smile on his face.

Nearly a decade later, Sage now spends over 250 days a year on the road. His drumming has been featured on major television shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Late Night with Seth Meyers, MTV, BBC’s The One Show, and BBC’s Live Lounge.

He has performed alongside artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Avril Lavigne, Landon Barker, and Benson Boone and has recorded over 150 records—amassing over a billion streams across all platforms. His work has contributed to a VMA nomination for “Push Performance of the Year” and a Grammy nomination.

Today, Sage continues to tour and record worldwide, constantly evolving as an artist while staying true to the passion that started it all—making sure his inner child is still smiling and using his drumming to connect with people across the globe.

  • Most Memorable Next-Level Performance?

In the summer of 2023, I got the call to fill in on drums for Bring Me The Horizon. It was around midnight when the news came in—my flight was in seven hours, and I had just 10 hours to learn an entire hour-long set. No rehearsal. First show? That same day. 35,000 people. I threw in my AirPods, grabbed my notes, and crammed as much as I could. Fast forward to showtime. The band was feeling great—I, on the other hand, had definitely felt better. The lights went down, the intro track rolled, and I gripped my sticks, telling myself, You’re here for a reason. Go have fun. And for the next six weeks, that’s exactly what I did.

  • What Drives Your Creativity?

What drives my creativity is the constant desire to reinvent myself. I’m always exploring new music, absorbing every detail, and searching for ways to evolve—not just in my drumming, but in my overall musical taste. There’s a certain magic in hearing something that captivates you, something you can’t shake until you’ve mastered it. That moment feels like striking gold.

  • Why Do You Choose Vic Firth?

Throughout my 15-year professional career, Vic Firth has been the only stick brand that remains consistently reliable, no matter the circumstance. No matter where I am in the world, I can walk into any music store, grab a pair of Vic Firth sticks, and immediately feel at home. It’s more than just a preference—it’s like a security blanket for drumming.
