Airbag

My name is Sebastián Roascio Goldar, and I’m an Argentine drummer and session musician from Buenos Aires. I started playing drums in 2002, when I was just 13 years old, studying under Fito Messina, one of Argentina’s most renowned drum teachers. From the very beginning, I trained across multiple styles — pop, rock, funk — building the versatile foundation that defines my playing to this day.
I played my first live show at 15, and not long after, I joined “Pez Liquido,” a prominent Buenos Aires music organization, where I performed both acoustic and electronic drums.
Along the way, I had the privilege of recording alongside remarkable musicians, including a project featuring Stuart Hamm — bassist for Joe Satriani and Steve Vai — and collaborations tied to legendary Argentine acts like Almafuerte.
The defining chapter of my career has been joining Airbag, one of Argentina’s most iconic rock bands. I serve as the band’s drummer alongside Patricio, Guido, and Gastón Sardelli, and keyboardist José Luis Berrone.  I’ve been part of Airbag for over 10 years now, and watching the band grow to fill stadiums has been something truly special.  Together we’ve played sold-out shows at the Movistar Arena, Estadio Vélez, and multiple nights at the Estadio Monumental.
I’m also proud to be a new endorser for Paiste, one of the world’s leading cymbal brands.
Music has been my life since I was a kid — and every night on stage, I’m reminded of exactly why.

  • Most Memorable Next-Level Performance?

Definitely the first monumental stadium of River Plate

  • What Drives Your Creativity?

Wanting to be better every day, learning from my teachers and other musicians, especially the great ones

  • Why Do You Choose Vic Firth?

They were the first drumsticks I ever used, and there was no going back! (My parents had bought me several pairs of Gregg Bissonette sticks from the 90s; I loved them and I always regret not keeping a pair for myself). I always associated Vic Firth with quality and performance.
